Observing experience

I am an observer for ALMA, the Green Bank Telescope, and ACT. Direct involvement with these facilities keeps my work closely linked to how data are actually obtained and what might limit them—an essential connection at a time when astronomy often separates scientific analysis from the operation and understanding of the instruments themselves.
